***Jan. NAC 2019 Judge review***

Of all the Evil Dog songs, why the one that isn't punk?! Jokes aside, this is an interesting take on an already interesting song. I like the original.

I felt myself getting bored with this remix though. It lost the dynamic flow the original has and seems to just go on the same note for all its 5 minutes. I was expecting a modernization of sounds as well but the samples were also pretty weak.

Nevertheless, I respect the effort.

I was expecting punk! Blueball'd me there! I wouldn't have expected this from you. This is a pretty cool tune though. Sounds like it belongs in a PC dungeon crawler from the 90s.

The samples are pretty cheese but that almost adds to the aesthetic. Ending is weak, though.

I LIKE IT.

This definitely sounds like Newgrounds 2003. A nice, subtle piece. Not bombastic and loud which is rare for the genre. Melodies are sweet sounding and change up enough to remain interesting.

The song does get a little wallpaper-y, though. A little bland. The hoover synth overstayed its welcome at the end and you can trim the ending by a minute.

Still a cute song.

I always found Paragon's music boring. With that being said, I did enjoy your remix over the original.

You took what is originally a pretty dull melody and added a lot of dynamics and some cool drops. The song became more lively for me after the 2 and a half minute mark. The solo section in the middle is pretty chaotic but in a good and satisfying way. It's the best part of the song.

The drum samples are weak and I think the song could be shortened in the beginning to catch up to the more interesting sections.

A fun tune, overall.

Hey djt! Thanks for being a judge for this month's NAC. Before I talk about the stuff you mentioned, I will actually say that I think you're the first person who has said they don't like Paragon's music lol. I don't have anything against that; in fact, I'm actually kinda happy that there is some difference in opinion on his songs and I am more than willing to welcome that :D

I think the one thing that was an issue here was the percussion - TheComet and Flashburn also mentioned that as an issue. I think I may know a fix around this, but considering that I have Ableton 9 Lite, my samples and mastering materials are kinda limited, so it's kinda working with what I got. Still, I think I may know some solutions to this for other songs.

The intro, when I made it, was an attempt to separate from the original, which used the melody to build into the main part. I wanted to make it longer than in the song to give it leeway to expand before the actual song began. I can try looking to see how I could do the same in half the time, though, for future stuff.

Thank you again for leaving a review! I will take you advice into consideration for the future :)

I can dig it. Smooth piano playing. Sounds like something off the "Twin Peaks" soundtrack.

I'm pretty critical of trap because it gets so monotonous so quick. With this song, you keep it interesting enough to keep my interest. Good compositional skills. Your vocal delivery is strong and believable. Probably the best hip hop vocal delivery I've heard on this site tbh. Push this hard enough and people will catch on. Do I smell a potential collab? 5/5

I feel like a bad girl now.

I could shit to this. 5/5.

That's what I intended when I recorded it!

I started liking it a lot when the heaviness kicked in. The riff around 2:00 is stellar! I feel the rumble in that low note. Then it explodes into that fast riff. You're a very good player. Voted 5.
