Excellent melodies from hell

I agree with the person a couple of reviews below me. This is 80s thrash. Haha. Great riffing and perfect amount of chuggs. Love the little slowdown in the middle with that melodic bass part going on. Sounds like Orion. =D
Definately make more like this.

Xenogenocide responds:

You got the bass melody inspiration spot on there ;)

Will certainly be doing more like this in future!

NICE!

Vokills just scream Dio and Dickenson!! I love it! You should write some more shit that would go with these kinds of vocals. Definately, not really heavy but gets the job well done very well. Another great song Bad Man! Be sure to check out my new shit because I think youll like it *hint hint* Haha. Again, great job! =D

Love it

Solo bass can be a difficult task to play and keep people entertained. You, sir, did everything right in your playing. Masterful melodies and a great lay out of a track. A sweeping dramatic piece you have here. I do encourage you to make more tracks like this because I think this is your calling. Fantastic job.
Also, I know this is a big thing to ask but would it be possible to get tabs to this? I'd shit myself trying to learn this by ear.
Again, great shit man.

MindOverMatt responds:

Damn! I don't know what to say other than I'm really glad that you dig this. I also love doing "ambient" bass tracks, they always offer so much room for exploration. And as for the tabs, I believe I could work that out pretty easily. It just might take some time. Thanks a lot for the encouragement! I'll PM ya soon...

Fucking raw dude.

Raw production. Suits the tune pretty well. Sounds like Im listening to a b-side off Death's Indivdual Thought Patterns album. Haha. Keep pumpin that bass dude!

MindOverMatt responds:

Even a comparison to Death's b-side is flattering! Cool dude! Thanks,
Matt

Remarkably similiar to Radiohead indeed

Its a pretty good song but is lacking. The production is very dry. If you improve on this song and expand it and assuming from your info for this song, Im expecting a non-strictly acoustic version. Haha. Its pleasant and catchy but needs MORE. My names Dylan too btw =D

DylanGlow responds:

I can't tell you how much I agree with the dry production. I'm at the point where I really can not stand the horrible recording equipment I have... not to mention the lack of a band. I'm not really too interested in the whole one-man-band idea. I didn't take the time to fiddle with the mixer as much as I should have and I just rushed the recording. Also, I desperately need an instrument mic. I'm thinking of the Shure SM57 model and that should really increase the instrument quality; pick-ups on acoustic guitars are shit to me. >.> But yes, you are very right! I will definately work on this song more and hopefully get some people to help out with the song! Thank for the review Dylan! ^_^

Damn brutal

Like a mix between Carcass and Between the Buried and Me. The middle of the track with that synthy thing is great. I cant comment on the production because Im listening through fucked headphones. Great song construction and everything though. I love it. Keep it up!! \m/

TheBardOfBlasphemy responds:

awesome man... thank a lot!

God damn intense

Sounds like a mix between Carcass and Devin Townsend. LOL. This is quite brilliant. Love the lyrics. Production was tight, REALLY tight. Like that girl's eyehole. MORE!!

TheBardOfBlasphemy responds:

thanks man... that's high praise!

Its getting there

I like the drum work. A little uniqueness. I dont see that very often here. The song itself kind of felt empty. Its missing something. It feels dry. The melodies are nice and all but they dont seem well-transitioned at all. I see you getting where you want to be one day though. Just keep on making music. =D

It was alright

This is just very simple apreggios. Nice little melody. The piano did have a spacey kind of relaxing feel to it but yet it, at the same time, felt cheap, if that makes sense.

Interesting quite.

This is a good track. I love the morphing work you did with the axe. You using Slayer 2? Im not sure if thats a real or synth guitar. It sounds good. The main riff is basically Dragula by Rob Zombie then it morphes into a new experiance. Midway through the song is very trippy. I really like it. Theres only a few things to change:
The bass is old sounding and outdated.
The piano could sound better EQ'd and with more reverb.
Other than that, A fantastic track. Im really wondering what it would sound like with Lyrics. 5 and 10 here.
Review one of my songs if you find the time. =)

I make music and try to make peace.
